  • SUMMARY:Assists the VP – Engineering on a daily basis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
    1. Helps manage the VP-Engineering’s schedule in and out of the office.
    2. Facilitates communication between VP-Engineering and others.
    3. Responds to external and internal communications
    1. Contact vendors and contractors
    1. Execute special projects as assigned by the VP-Engineering
    2. Produce reports, letters and memos as needed
    1. Helps keep VP-Engineering contacts lists up-to-date
    2. Assists in organizing and setting up VP-Engineering travel schedule
    3. Perform research on different topics as required by VP-Engineering
    4. Take notes in meetings


    1. High school diploma
    2. Relevant work experience helpful but not required


    1. Excellent written and oral English skills
    2. Strong positive communication, interpersonal and problem solving abilities
    3. Ability to express ideas and provide suggestions to others while keeping confidential information confidential
    4. Able to work with strong personalities


    1. Basic computer skills are required
    2. Knowledge of the Internet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a plus
    3. Good troubleshooting capabilities are required.
    4. Strong ability to take the initiative
    5. Self motivated with strong time management skills
    6. Take numerous interruptions in stride
    7. Must be thorough, detail oriented, able to work independently with little supervision, able to work well under pressure


    1. No direct management experience required
    2. Must have the skills to interact well with all departments and personalities


    Organizational skills must be excellent

    1. Some lifting required up to 25 lbs
    2. Sit long periods of time using a computer.
    3. Climb stairs
